SS16 Les Smokings – Part Two

A magical ombré sunset palette, reminding of a South Beach-inspired Rothko painting, sets the tone of the Racil Spring/Summer 2016 ready-to-wear collection. Chromatic fruit-colored hues—peach, cassis, and mandarin—celebrate the festive lifestyle of Miami, Palm Beach, and Mykonos.

At the heart of the collection is The Tuxedo—an iconic style that Racil mischievously and playfully reinvents. The timeless jacket with satin lapels appears in coconut and grapefruit tones, while a green collar reminds of Miami’s palm trees, and a bright yellow hue gives an electric jolt to the silhouette.

Ultra-flared trousers, baptised “Texas” and “Dancefloor”, are an invitation to “Go to the disco!” Their 70s-inspired cut recalls Bianca Jagger at the iconic Club 54. Meanwhile, a sophisticated attraction is underlined with the “Palm Beach” cigarette cuts, the “Dallas” cropped jackets , and the “Uptown” tops. Once night falls, the femme fatale arrives like a breath of perfume in a “Beverly Hills” backless dress, ready to party under the starry sky.

Cut from ultra lightweight wool and lined in washed silk, all of the season’s pieces marry lightness and fresh fabric. From tailored silhouettes to loosely cut styles, the looks can be styled with stilettos or urban sneakers. From morning to night, after a day out in London, or  comfortably enjoying Sunset Happy Hour in Miami, the Racil girl is above all elegant and always ready to enjoy the warm summer nights… the very essence of femininity.
